Today I moved into my Senoras. I had a breakdown. I cried my eyes out. It was the first breakdown and hopefully the last since I came here. Most of my friends had the same reaction moving into their homes.

We had no idea what to expect. My senora is sweet and I have an amazing home right off La Plaza de Cataluña y Viya Grande. But today the highlight was the parade for the Eve of Dia de Los Reyes. We saw the Barca y Madrid soccer players biking through the lighted streets of Trafalcar. The Arc de Triumph was glowing in the background. The kings came from the sea, and one by one came through the parade. It told the story of the kings coming from boat by the sea and Jesus being born and Maria, not Mary had her baby in the manager. The kings actually arrived by boat and paraded through the streets. Marching bands on horses and giant, complex floats just kept coming. This holiday is bigger than Christmas. The streets were packed with families and everyone was happy! People threw confetti from the roofs and the parade was so intense! It was my first and most likely last break down of the trip. We went with our guarding angels and Jodi, Erin, Katie and I watched the parade with Miguel and the guys being idiots about hurrying.
Maria Rosa is a sweetie. And I love Barcelona. Watching a parade that meant so much to a country with a story I have never heard taught me a lot about other cultures and traditions in America we take for granted. Everyone in Barcelona goes out for this holiday, and they are so Nationalistic and proud of their heritage.
