Hurry up, drink my liquid! That was the beginning of my journey to Europe. I didn’t follow O’Hare’s 311 rules, so the Libby’s juicy juice had to go!
I ended up in first class on the way to London Free wine and Heineken beer! What a start to my trip! I had a creeper next to me though. He was a 40 year old going to Indian for Christian missionary work that kept complementing my looks and personality “and saying he wants to find a girl just like me”. His birthday occurred during the time zone on the plane. We arrive at Heathrow on the 3rd! I watched Vicky Cristina Barcelona on the flight over to get me excited for my adventures abroad! The Woody Allen film was strange, but I enjoyed the scenery, and to think in less than 24 hours I would be there! Also during my flight we went over cities like Chicago, Halifax, Dublin and Cork at -71* F, 38,000 feet in the air, and traveling at a speed of 536 miles per hour! You wonder why I have a fear of flying! We took off at sunset and arrived at sunrise and the London sun was a dark merlot, yellow and pale blue. Flying over Ireland at sunrise was gorgeous; you could see the rocky terrain and cliffs as we were decreasing altitude. The small towns over Ireland appeared to be lit by large globes. It was so pretty, and it was just the start of my adventures!
Once at Heathrow I met a guy Freddie from Ghana who just got back from Dubai whom helped me use the Tube! I traveled to downtown London (Piccadilly Circus) all by myself! I was amazed how old all of the English buildings are. I saw the London Eye, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, the changing of the guards, fountains as well as World War II bomb sites. I sat by myself at a café and explored London myself. I was independent and doing well! I am impressed with myself!

*The Pret is the best wi-fi in London.
*Accents are hot
*Tame pigeons creep me out
*All my clocks are wrong, and I didn’t sleep on the plane!
*People in London are helpful! They helped me figure out money, the tube and directions!
I LOVE LONDON! I KNOW THAT ALREADY!
