( Half our Spanish Class)
I love Spanish class here. I don't learn anything, but our teacher is so fun and hip, and our class is obnoxious. I laugh so hard everyday in it because someone says something. We are either learning the words to shrooms, talking about what John is doing, or discussing crazy random things. We listen to music and discuss soap operas. I love it.
John has pink eye. In both eyes. If i catch it he dies. And we shared a pillow is Madrid.
I went to the dr. with Lizzie today! All good! No more appointments, but I still need to stretch and wear the ugly lifts! She had an amazing birthday, and dressed up as mighty mouse for Carnival! Oh I want an exciting life like she has. I still think it's amazing how she and her boyfriend picked up Spanish. I randomly met my senora at therapy today!
My senora hated the velveta I made her today! Imagine what she would say about my blues clues obsession. I took a power 20 minute nap before that, and it felt amazing! I like napping on cloudy, rainy, dreary days! But I am sick of the clouds, I need the sun back!
For marketing we went to the historical mueso en el gotico. We explored a contemporary exhibition, a squatters exhibition and the current one. We also got to re due the tour we did for history 13 stories below the ground to see the old Roman streets still intact. It is weird how you are in old cobble stone above that was in the 7th century and there are BC ruins below you. I can't believe how well preserved they are!

But the best part of the day....COOK AND TASTE.
We walked to La Rambla and went up a small flight of stairs to a kitchen that was cute and clean. From the stairwell I expected the place to be trashy, and small. But everything was organized and ready for us to learn Catalan cooking. Some of the best quotes were "I know if you use a sharp knife you won't cry as much...I learned that at pizza hut". "You can if you let me feed you" and "I am thankful for smiles".... I love spending time with the people on our program who make me laugh. Like my girls. And the guys kept yelling at me for swearing, yet I yelled at them for pdaing. (today I taught matt the art of holding hands, and the way you do each one means something)

Erin and I were in charge of papas y onions in the tortilla espana. My eyes burned when I cut the onions,so Erin took care of that for me. Jojo and Katie took care of the veggies! In the end we had a chilled tomatoe soup with cheese, nuts, and mayo, wine, pan amb tomato, tortilla espana, pallea, and Catuluyna Creme.
I love spending 3.5 hours learning to cook with a fun group. We are constantly laughing and it is so interesting.
Spaniards cook with SO MUCH OIL. everything we cooked tonight involved oil!
Saffron is expense!
I like white wine over red. it gets me buzzed!
Spanish chicken. No me gusta!
* I can't wait to cook so many of these dishes when I get home..
In the words of Erin when we come home we will
1. Have week bones (we don't drink milk)
2, Have high cholesterol from the eggs
3. Have mercury poising from our tuna consumption.
I FULLY AGREE WITH MY JEWISH LOVE!
Howard does too!

Random other thought. Today at Pan these were the four songs that played in order, Celion Deon, Backstreet Boys (BStreets back!), Shaina Twain's Any Man of Mine, and Toy Soilder from teh 80's. In the words of Jake and Tyler. Gawd I love that.
I love being here so much. I gain so many cultural and learning experiences. Today larkin had me wish at 11:11 time here and that made me smile!
COOK AND TASTE. WHAT AN AMAZING NIGHT
