Big 10 University, the US’s oldest division 1 sporting conference! I can’t believe I go to school at one of these schools. I am doing a group project on D1 (especially Big 10 Sports), and I can’t believe how well known throughout the country Big 10 schools are. They are even known in Europe! And it’s a d1 school, but I never expected to have fans in California! I miss Minnesota and when we play Wisconsin for the Paul Bunyan Axe, Michigan for the Brown Jug, and Iowa for the Floyd of Rosedale (the piggy!).
Barcelona is a huge city and small just like the U. I love going to a HUGE school. Over 51,000 kids (3rd Largest in the US). I looked online today and found a free trailer for the vortex to park in the Mall for housing next year! Today is the first day I really missed the college traditional things like hockey games, tailgating, hooters trips, frat parties, and sex world trips. I miss the familiarity and just what we do in college. It is so hard to explain, and T-hall was the best thing to ever happen to me. I wouldn’t have friends I have in college without it, or the memories or experiences. The number one party dorm in the country was a perfect match for me….
And Barcelona is a crazy city to match that personality, just a maturity level higher. But today I miss the immature fun we have in Minnesota. I would never choose to go to a different college. Everyone is so laid back and nice. They have Dakota values, Minnesota humor, and Wisconsin friendliness all in one. I can’t wait to go back!!!!
Barca swept the futbol game tonight! It was amazing. And we went to pan and clanned our normal clan!
T-hall prepped me for Spain more than I will ever know. I can have long nights, and still go to class. I can bond and I am forced to make friends quickly. And the friends in Thall just like Spain will be with me forever.
Wait til the new stadium opens next year…And we live in Stadium village….It’s going to be the HH weekend all over again.
Then hockey season:)
